Unit 12

We offer private land mule deer hunts on our ranches in Western New Mexico. These hunts take place on over 500,000 acres of land in unit 12, and the ranches have some of the best Mule Deer genetics in the world. These ranches have very low deer densities.
However, the chances of seeing 180″+ type deer are good.

The general rifle season is in early November. These are all spot and stalk type hunts in high desert terrain at approximately 7500′ elevation with pinon and juniper vegetation. We do offer several special Mule Deer “Habitat Enhancement” tags that can be hunted during the peak of the rut in December. These tags are extremely limited and highly coveted; therefore, they require advanced booking.

Hunters do need to prepare to shoot longer ranges because of the open terrain. We ask hunters to be prepared for 300-400 yards shots on these hunts.

Cost includes:

Meals, lodging, guiding, transportation during the hunt, field prep of bucks. 

Cost excludes:

Transportation to hunt and back, license and tag, NM sales tax, meat processing, taxidermy, and gratuities.
