This is one of the most dynamic concessions in Alaska on the south side of Wrangell St. Elias National Park, with elevations of 800 feet along the Chitina River and rising nearly to the peak of the fifth tallest peak in America, Mount Blackburn, at over 16,000’. The glacial valleys within the concession are ringed by 10,000’ ridges and ancient glaciers. Rest assured, the animals don’t live way up there but it sure is wonderful to behold. Most of the hunts in this area are horse assisted. This means horses will get you to spike camps and pack your gear and trophies, but daily hunting is usually on foot.

The Alaska-Yukon Moose hunting in this concession is also world class! This is one of the top horseback moose hunting outfits in Alaska for trophy moose. Moose are harvested conservatively with just 6-8 hunts booked each year. Many all-time Boone and Crockett moose have come from this area. Mountain goats, brown bears, and black bears are also abundant in this exceptional place.
