Idaho Elk Hunting Trips
Species: Rocky mountain elk
Location: Idaho
Methods: Rifle
Dates: September-October
Our Idaho elk hunt takes place on the middle fork of the Salmon River, in the Frank Church Wilderness. You will be miles from civilization, hunting bugling bulls in the Idaho wilderness. This outfitter has been guiding in the area for over 30 years, with excellent success and opportunity rates.
This is a combo hunt with a mule deer buck, that can be taken for just the cost of the tag. Hunters can also take black bear, wolf, and/or mountain lion with the appropriate tags. No additional trophy fees.
Camps are comfortable and consist of wall tents with wood stoves, (two hunters per tent), large cook tent and guide tent. Get settled in and ride out for the first evening`s hunt. Because this is a wilderness area, far from any roads, all types of game may be found right out of camp. For the next 7 days, after a hearty breakfast, we will ride out each morning on horseback, two hunters per guide to find you your “trophy”. You set your own limits of endurance and what you consider the size of your “trophy”. Our experienced guides will design and adapt the hunt to match your abilities.
We employ a spot & stalk method that during the elk rut includes calling/bugling. Bring the right gear, shoot straight, have a positive attitude and have the experience of a lifetime.
