That’s the scenario you can expect while mountain lion hunting with our outfitter in NW Montana. Our lion hunts average a 100% success rate. Northwest Montana and specifically the Kootenai National Forest has some of the best mountain lion hunting in the Rocky Mountains! The crew of houndsmen and guides are some of the most experienced in the west. While there are no guarantees in hunting, especially when in pursuit of wild, free-range animals, our cougar hunts are pretty secure. Our guests to date have a success rate of essentially 100%.

We have close to 500 square miles of prime mountain lion habitat in our hunting areas. Basically, we can pursue cougars through most of Montana’s northeast corner. Hunts are executed via 4-wheel-drive trucks, and our guests return to the lodge each evening.
